Adam Westin
Adam was tirelessly thrashing around trying to get himself free, but due to an already weakened state, he wasn't strong enough to actually push them off. 'If you don't fight harder their going to lock you up. They'll run a bunch of test and try to control you'. With his mind telling him to fight harder, Adam did just that. He started taking cheap shots, biting, scratching anything. He grew more desperate by the minute. "Whether you like it or not, we have to hospitalize him. He is in no condition to be out on his own." The doctor told Hailey as he prepared the needle that was previously knocked out of his hand earlier. The older woman knew he was right. She never agreed with Adam's parents on keeping him locked up at home when he should've been hospitalized a long time ago.
Maybe after some time he can be released into society, but as of right now he was too young and didn't understand fully what was happening to him. It was normal for teenagers to react in such a way when they learn that they are the same paranoid schizophrenics that the media and regular people play out to be monsters. It really took it's toll on Adam. "You're right doctor. Once he is sedated I'll let you take him to the hospital." Hailey knew she would have to inform his parents. Another thing she would have to do is try and keep this out of the media for as long as possible.
"Adam, son, we are going to give you this medication only to calm you down. It's not going to kill you I swear." The doctor cooed. It seemed that they were getting somewhere because Adam wasn't fighting as much, but that all changed when Sienna and Connor walked into the apartment. The teenager saw his two closest friends in Constance and St.Judes walk in and the look on Sienna's face horrified him. 'Look at that they came to see you get executed. The girl can't believe what a monster you are.' Adam started becoming more aggressive again wishing he was anywhere than here.
Hailey turned to Sienna and Connor, recognizing them from them coming over in the past, and she gave them a sympathetic look. She knew Adam tried keeping his friends from knowing his condition, but eventually they would find out. His illness was a life long problem and wouldn't be able to hide for forever. She just wished that he told them on his own terms, and that they wouldn't have to find out in such a way. She turned to look at Adam just as the doctor successfully stuck the needle into his neck and got him to calm down. It wasn't long before the teenager was out cold. His entire body going limp.
Hailey walked over to Sienna and Connor and blocked their view of Adam. "I'm sorry you had to see that." The older woman smiled bitterly. "I would let Adam tell you, but I don't know when the next time you'll be able to see him is." After a brief pause, Hailey got the gumption to speak once more. They were Adam's closest friends and deserved an explanation. "Adam has paranoid schizophrenia. He was diagnosed Junior year and it's really taken a toll on him. I'm sorry that he couldn't explain this to you himself." Surely this was a lot of information to take in, and the duo probably had more questions that needed answers. Maybe this would explain to them his past behavior though.
The doctor and his workers had placed Adam in a wheelchair to take him to the van out back, Hailey watched as they rolled him past her, Sienna, and Connor before looking back at the other two."I'm sure he would be happy that you two came to see him. You can't tell anyone about what you just saw though. Neither him nor his parents are ready for the world to know of his condition. I'm afraid of what he would try to do if this got out into the press." Regardless of her job being at stake, she was genuinely concerned for Adam's well being and she hoped that Sienna and Connor wouldn't breath word about this to anyone. "I'm having him hospitalized, and I will let you two know when you can come visit him. I'm sure he'll be happy to see you two." She needed to pack some of Adam's things to prepare him for his stay at the mental hospital.
"If you two wouldn't mind, can you help me pack him some things? There are some phone calls I need to make and other important matters to tend to." She stepped aside to let Sienna and Connor enter the apartment. "Oh, you know he loves to write music, so can you please pack a couple of sheets for him?"
