Bringing him back to the present were Mystique bumping into him which he only smiled at and teasingly stuck out his bum to her. Dismissing the matter with ease, Daniel’s eyes had locked on the food that targeted his appetite drifting along to it as well as catching every word of Mystique’s. “Then why don’t you talk to him?” he said bluntly, combining it with a soft tone. “Or is he busy being alone?” When he glanced back to where Mystique should have been, he only saw her retreating figure and smiled to himself.
He finished serving himself then sat with Mystique whom only sought temporary escape, laying his tray on the table and smirked. “Don’t like Athena’s kid? You uh…prefer Eris’ son?” he added mockingly suggestive before laughing. “Eh, he’s got his own ginger friend anyway.” As if there were a limited role per friend group for a red head.
Leaving a moment’s peace for Mystique, he silently debated whether to express the song on his mind or pick at some more casual conversation. Then again, Daniel wanted her to take more initiative. She reeked of potential after all and she weren’t going to unlock it by second guessing herself. But he soon called that hope quits.
“Sex bomb, sex bomb, you’re my sex bomb” he sung, shaking his shoulders subtly to the rhythm in his head and glancing around the cafeteria. He caught sight of Alex and winked and resumed his repetitive singing quietly of the well known chorus.

“That’s not going to happen,” he assured which usually would have taken a stern tone, and though he were serious about his statement, it were good to be accompanied by a smile. Before the pair proceeded to spar though, his mind started to work on potential scenarios and outcomes which were very unlike him who usually acted before noting on any calculation. Then again, the response he prepared may have been the bravest thing ever. “We better not.”
Yes. He had actually declined a willing fight. Maybe he were sick. He more so didn’t want to jump back on the teacher radar.
“Where’s this orientation being held anyway?” he asked, finding new frustration. Tristan wished the school gave him some more direction sometimes. This were a day he preferred to just charge through. Or at least hope for a Minotaur to bust through the walls and declare a fight so Tristan could claim defense.
Though Daniel at such a rate would suffice...just when Tristan thought he grew an immunity to the stirs of Daniel. “How's the family?” he asked for sake of distraction after giving a warning glare to the snake.
