Luciane wobbled out of the school, keeping her head down and attempted to giggle. She had caused a little trouble, maybe, just a little. Just enough to pause class for the last five minutes. No pop quiz for her if the teacher couldn't get the powerpoint to work. Of course, that stopped her from working too. Her friend had tried to have a conversation with her, but she could only get out random sounds to indicate that she was trying, but she wasn't really working at the moment. Her friend, so kind of her, had walked her out of the school, but had to catch her bus. She wished she had someone to walk her across the street, to Starbucks, but she would just have to wait.
After 5 more minutes of sitting on a bench, regaining herself, Luce was able to breeze into Starbucks, and order her favorite frappucino. As she waited, she leaned on the bar, surveying the room, her eyes settling on the man sitting next to the window. The one she was here to meet with. It was nice, she thought, others who not only focused on their powers, but the untimely deaths that wouldn't stop happening. Everyone wanted to forget about it, but why? She couldn't understand, how people could just settle their curiosity in such a way. Why stop asking questions? Why be contempt in being ignorant? You should always actively learn, that's what she firmly believed.
After she was given her drink, she settled into the chair across from the man and smiled. "Hi, I'm Luce," she simply greeted, taking a sip. "I like birds, and I mess things up," was how she introduced herself. She watched him, tucking her dark hair behind her ear. Wide eyes, a face that didn't hide expressions. Like me, she thought Yes, she had a firm opinion that she was as open as they come. You could read her with a glance.
