Being redeployed from his PJ duties was always a welcome, although that often meant Thorran never really found a long term job to pick up during his down time from the army. Sure, he did a few odd jobs here and there to pay for his expenses, or the occasional service dog training for the policemen. That was it, he didn't really have else much to do.
He didn't have anyone to stay home to, so Thorran was always out with Odin, his dog. Walking around Hazelbrook despite the obvious hazard of potentially falling dead from whatever it was that was causing these deaths. Well, today he was at least going to do something about it.
'Well, here's the place. A rather specific Starbucks.' he thought to himself before bending down to give Odin a good scratch behind the ears. "Alright boy, you know you can't go in there. So stand by the door. No funny business."
The husky proceeded to position himself right by the door and sat there like a guardian statue, not before looking at Thorran and returned to panting, obviously pleased with himself. Thorran pushed the door open, not before looking back at Odin.
"I mean it. No funny business." he stated firmly before doing the 'I'm watching you' gesture and proceeded to step into the shop.
After purchasing his drink, a plain hot vanilla, he stared around for a bit. Sipping on his drink, his eyes landed upon the table by the window, with five other occupants who looked fairly out of place. He walked over to them.
"Hey," he raised his drink in a greeting and smiled. "So is this the right ta-?"
Obviously, he became more interested in the laptop that one of them was using. The child to be exact, probably still in elementary? He bent down a little to take a closer look at the screen, eyebrows raised.
"Looks interesting, kid," he told the boy, taking another sip of his vanilla, then continued in a lower voice. "Possibly illegal, but very interesting."
