Shane couldn't help but feel insulted when Posey made outright, borderline inappropriate moves on her colleague. She wouldn't say she's jealous, Cass is a friend. But the simple fact that that girl could just be so... forth right with her intentions, right in front of the Sheriff, says a lot about the girl, and honestly just makes Shane not like her more. But regardless of anything she felt, she kept it to herself as she angrily removed the body bag and gloves from the trunk. She stood there for a long moment, staring down at the objects before it clicked, "Why in the fuck am I doing this? I'm the Sheriff, not the mortician." She was practically ignoring Cass as she whipped out her cell phone, dialed a number then pressed it to her ear. "Hey... Yeah, Fig and Vine... Yeah I can wait."
She hung up the phone, before grabbing the body bag and walking over to the corpse. Shane laid the bag over the body, just so anyone who walked past wouldn't see it as she waited on the mortician. Walking back over to the cruiser, she closed the trunk, then went and sat in the driver's seat so she could turn on the radio. As she flipped through channels, she shouted out of the car towards Cass, "If you're going to go after her... then just go. I have this under control." She settled on a station that had the news playing, listening to hear if anything about the body had been reported yet, but to her relief it hadn't. She wasn't in the mood to deal with the media and everyone else asking her questions, then calling her crazy when she gave her honest to God opinion.
Once the ambulance had arrived, she went over and helped the mortician get the body into the bag, put it on a stretcher and push it into the back of the ambulance. She thanked the mortician, and began to close the back doors to the ambulance while he went to get back into the driver's seat. She hit the back doors twice to let him know that he was good to go and the ambulance drove off. Shane walked back over to the Police car, getting into the driver's seat this time. She started to put her seat belt on, and sat there waiting to see if Cass was going to chase after the easy blonde or get in the car. Honestly Shane didn't care either way, she just wasn't going to sit around and wait.
