She took a moment before even taking the car off park. Paige was familiar with that hotel, and it by far was the best the small town had to offer. Probably the most publicized as well. Thankfully the hotel was owned by corporate men instead of local townies.
"Good choice. There are a few smaller ones that have good reputations, but the people can be...sketchy to say the least. That's a common pattern in North Point though" she said, finally leaving the parking spot. The hotel was on the other side of the town, which would result in a decent enough drive.
She noticed he had to adjust his seat, and couldn't help but grin. Being that tall had to have those kind of disadvantages. She wasn't short, nor was she tall. Paige found herself somewhere in the middle.
In the dark she turned on high beams in case of stupid trick or treaters. Looking over to him momentarily she raised a brow.
"Well you sister has impeccable music taste then" she grinned. "I would have something more creative as a ringtone, but it's already challenging enough to be taken seriously in my department" she said, quickly realizing the fault of her words that she let slip.
"But anyway, hopefully with your help we can wrap this case up quickly. It's more than unfortunate. North Point is unique in the sense that everyone knows everyone, Mr.Queen. Sadly our department is restricted when it comes to certain crimes. If they requested you, that means we have an actual chance in solving something" she sighed, but a glimmer of optimism remained. Truthfully, she didn't know how much she'd actually get done in the presence of her new partner.
"What kind of music do you listen to Mr.Queen? Please tell me it isn't country"

Alec hadn't ever met anyone as direct as little miss Cleopatra. She didn't mind the "bold" move to place his hand where he did. Not that it was really bold, more along the lines that she didn't mind it. That was something a bit different.
Once they stopped in the line she looked up at him with a smile he'd never be able to forget. The only word that continued to pop into his head was : danger. Her suggestive words had him raising a brow at her, his grin matching her seductive one.
"I think your definition of Halloween is far different than what I was raised to believe" he began with a mirth of a grin "But your definition also sounds far more interesting. You may want to go into detail doll, I'm not sure I get the entire picture yet" he said coyly.
There was a definite moment of pause before she closed what space was left between them. His arm was stuck between her beaded bra, and from her expression she saw nothing wrong with that fact.
The alluring smell that filled his nose fit her, all the while her breath tickled his skin, and her words were all the more alluring. Yet the way she phrased it made him burst out laughing. He stopped himself after a few moments, but only found himself shaking his head at her.
"Oh doll, I can get that for you, and much much more. But really, what would I get in return Cleopatra?" he questioned with pseudo intention, his hand raking down her spine as they moved forward in line, almost to the bartender. When they were finally there he let his hand fall, grazing down her backside.
"For the lady, a Rob Roy, and I'll take an Alabama Slammer" he requested as the bartender simply nodded. He pulled cash from his pocket and left the twenty there. To him, money wasn't an object. He never did such actions to show off, but he didn't like wasting time.
Their drinks were set onto the counter and he grabbed them as soon as they were done. Alec handed the orange scotch drink to her.
"Enjoy" he said as he lifted his own drink a took a long swig.
