It was a bright sunny day at the Lockhart's castle. As usual Edwin was walking around the castle, fixing every little detail to be absolutely perfect. He checked the clocks around him. "6:10.." Edwin said to himself as he headed up the extraordinary flight of stairs. It was time for the kingdom's beloved princess to wake up. Edwin had already been awake for hours like always. The servants were all gradually waking up and going to their posts.
The kitchen staff was already almost done with breakfast as the maids were setting up the table. Everything was to be spick and span for the royal family. Edwin's foot steps were soft as he knocked once upon entering Alice's bedroom. He walked over to her bedside, and took a moment for himself as his eyes gazed at the beauty sleeping soundly. '....When did she become a woman?' Edwin thought to himself, remembering the young girl he met years ago.
The flowers around her accented the child's already present gorgeous appearance. His poor eyes had never seen such radiance as when he saw her. They were together ever since. And by together, it was as butler and princess, but they shared a bond that couldn't be ignored. One not of just friends, not just best friends, but even more.
Edwin snapped back into reality realizing he needed to keep the schedule. "Alessandra, It's time to wake up." His smooth voice resonated throughout the room. Edwin was always warm and kind to her. He always had a gentleness towards her that could never be given to anyone else. Edwin walked to the curtains and flung them open, allowing the light to enter the room. Even though Alice had told him millions upon billions of times to call her Alice, Edwin still stuck to her full name. Although he'd be lying if he said he'd never snuck in her nick name a few times. "Break fest will be starting soon. I'm sure your father and mother would like to see your face at the table." He assured walking around her room, making sure it was clean.
