Edwin looked at her innocent face as they were close together. As she backed away, He gritted his teeth and continued walking. "I'm just glad you are safe, your highness." They approached the dining room and Edwin pulled out her chair for her. The king and queen greeted her as maids buzzed around.
Edwin placed the napkin in her lap, which is something he does once in awhile. Edwin doesn't want to over baby her, but he likes doing everything he can for her. Edwin bowed to the royal family and excused himself back into the kitchen where he ate his break fest. The kitchen staff made small talk as Edwin sat on the counter and listened.
Edwin didn't engage in conversation with the workers too often as his mind was usually full of what tasks he had to do that day.
After breakfast Edwin always awaited the princess outside the dining room. The conversations in the dining room could faintly be heard but today they seemed rather loud and Edwin wondered if everything was alright. A few maids passed him by and they all began talking about preparations for the ball.
