Niall couldn't help but laugh at his companion. Just say he didn't want to answer him? "But if I answered you plainly where would the fun be?" he asked. "It makes conversation much more interesting. Sometimes outsiders will get confused and won't know what we are talking about. It is like a code if you try hard enough. I think I'd have a wonderful conversation with the guardian Sphinx. We'd both spin yarns to each other," he mused. "Beside, it wasn't that hard of a riddle and every word of it was true." The two then fell into an easy silence and continued to travel side by side as if they had traveled together before and this was nothing new.

It was a couple of hours later when they finally reached the camp. Niall gave a sigh of relief as he pulled his bag off his shoulders and dropped it down before he followed it and took a seat. It was so nice to be sitting down again. Today's trekking had taken quite a bit out of him. He wondered if that was partially due to this encounter with Keisuke. He wasn't used to dealing with people for such long intervals. He had learned long ago that being alone was better than being around others. Other people were just weaknesses and rivals. Even the ones you loved most could eventually turn on you and put you into harms way. He hated to admit that having another person around did ease some of the ache of solitude.
Little Eos cooed and moved around in Keisuke's arms before she spread her wings and glided gracefully over to Niall's shoulder and nuzzled his cheek in comfort. Unfortunately, she landed on the shoulder of his blindside so he couldn't see her, but he smiled just the same. He felt her warmth and heard her fluttering. He reached up tentatively until he found the little bird and pet it softly. Her feather down was as soft as a bunny's fur, but towards the end of her tail they were a tad stiffer. Niall closed his eyes then and relished the moment.
"You can sit wherever you like, Keisuke. Doesn't bother me none. I figure we'll rest here for now. It is already getting dark. Why don't you build up the fire place and let's see if Eos will do the honor of lighting it for us. Oh, and you have a blanket right? It is going to be chilly tonight." Niall opened his bag then and started to rummage through it till he grabbed his last piece of bread, some cheese, and dried beef he had made into jerky strips to sate some of his hunger.
