Makoto walked back into the room a minute later and Hinata smiled reassuringly, knowing that he'd probably been worried. A nurse came in right after and waved to Hina, who let out an exasperated sigh. "How long do I have to stay in the hospital?" He hated hospitals and didn't want to stay there any longer than he needed to, especially when final exams were coming up and he'd need the time for studying. "I'd say only a day or two at most. You'll likely be able to go to class on Monday, but your doctor's recommended that you take it easy for at least a week. Too much movement could open up some of your wounds." Nodding to show he understood, Hinata answered a few more questions before the nurse left. XXX
"Makko." Once the nurse was out of earshot, Hinata turned to Makoto. "I'm sorry I worried you. And I'm sorry for everything I said...I didn't mean any of it. After what happened with Yuzu, I was scared of losing you again, and thought you'd be better off if you weren't around me. Now I know that I was wrong, and I promise that I'll never push you away like that again." Hina took Makoto's hand and kissed his temple, pressing their foreheads together and sighing. "You know, when you saw me through the classroom window for the first time, I spent ten minutes bawling in the bathroom afterwards~" XXX
Remembering the incident made Hinata laugh. "I had waited so long to see you again, and when I did, I couldn't even control my emotions. How pathetic is that?" He knew it wasn't a bad thing to cry, and he wasn't at all embarrassed to admit the fact. After all, anyone would cry if they were suddenly able to be to befriend someone who had been dead for nearly a hundred years. "I wanted to say this earlier, but we were interrupted. I love you. I always have, and I always will, no matter what happens. Even when we grow old and move onto another lifetime, I'll still love you. I promise to always be here." XX
