Lane stood at the edge of the room, watching watch him. His features were hard, and he wasn't showing much emotion, other than the curiosity glistening in his eyes. "No idea. I was driving up to my house, and I almost run into you," Lane says, "I got out of my car, I could hear someone running, but.... You had a gash on your forehead, and it was bleeding pretty badly. I decided to take you up to my home to get better." Lane studied the woman as he talked, watching her features change. She seemed nice enough, and so far she was relatively good company. He was glad that she actually trusted him enough that she drank the tea that was made.

There was a bark from downstairs, indicating someone was at the front door. Lane's lips pursed as he pushed himself off the wall. He didn't say anything as he went down the steps and strolled to the thick oak doors. He pulled one open, Mayhem sitting behind the other one, and peaked his head out. There was a woman in winter work out clothing. Sweat pants, a sweat shirt, running shoes, and her black hair was tied up in a tight pony tail. The woman smiled seeing Lane at the door. "Hey buddy!" The woman greeted with a wide smile. She stepped forward for a hug, Lane opening the door fully and opening his arms. He gave the woman a light squeeze before pulling away. He didn't even need to say anything to the woman, his slight confusion was showed by a raised eyebrow and a questioning look. The woman giggled at his body language talk.

"I was on a run up here and figured I might just stop by! I heard some whispers from some hikers when I got halfway up the mountain that you were apparently speeding through the trails, as if in a hurry. Is everything okay?" The woman looked behind Lane, and around as much house as she could see. Lane frowned, showing his displeasure of hearing the news. "A woman fell and got hurt. She bumped her head. I figured I should help her," Lane briefly explained. The woman nodded, eyes wide. "Oh boy! I hope she gets okay soon, because by the look of these clouds there's going to be a pretty bad storm!" The woman pointed up.

Lane glanced up at the sky before nodding. He gave the woman a thankful smile. "Well I better get going down, then, don't want to get caught in that storm. Are you going to be closing down the trails? If so I can go tell the park ranger at the gate to close the park down as soon as everyone is catalogued out." Lane nodded again before adding, "One woman will be missing." The woman smiled and nodded in understanding. "Alrighty! Do you know her name?" Lane shook his head with a frown. The woman frowned slightly, too. "Well then I'll just pass down the news of one woman being missing... Have a good winter! I hope this storm passes quickly! Got enough food and wood?" The woman was talking while walking away. Lane simply nodded, waving at her. The last thing he saw was the woman smiling and waving back before he closed the door. Glancing down at Mayhem, who was just panting away. Lane went back upstairs, carefully approaching the doorway. "Sorry," Lane mumbled, frowning at being so rude.
