Emory was a bit reluctant to believe what he was telling her, but it was the only thing she knew, whether it were true or not. All she knew was that she had to be on her toes around this man. Just because he was being so nice to her right now didn't mean she didn't need to worry. She glanced around the room taking note of any objects she could use as a weapon just in case she needed to. Emory was always a fast thinker and pretty quick on her feet if needed and now was definitely a time this could come in handy. She heard the dog barking from downstairs just after she heard a knock at the door. Without a word she watched as the man stepped out of the room without a word. As she laid there she could hear bits and pieces of a conversation with a woman but she couldn't make out a single word.
Once the man arrived back into the room apologizing she just nodded her head. "I'll just be taking off, I have to get back to the hotel, my husband will be looking for my call," he stated as she began climbing out of bed. Her head was spinning and just as she stood to her feet, she began to vomit and fell back onto the bed. "On second thought, do you have a phone I could borrow?" she questioned.
