After hearing Dalia squeal again, she turned her head towards a group of teenagers, just like her, entering the house now and being given somewhat of a grand tour by the lady that said her name was Dalia. She turned her head back and stared down at the plate before her as she grabbed her fork and took small bites from her breakfast. Ashleigh's ears twitched when she heard a male say her name. She turned slightly in her seat and smiled as she recognized him a little. His name tugged at the corner of her lips as she got up and walked towards him, giving him a small hug.
"Ollie." She released him and reviewed her eyes over him while patting his shoulder. "Uhm, you look the same, honestly." She remarked as others started to fill in the dining hall and she felt somewhat connected to all of them in one small way or another. Her eyes looked at all of them as she smiled and nodded her head in a greeting manner before looking past Ollie and seeing him. The him that had saved her life some years ago. The him that she had been sketching for quite some time now. The him that she felt closer to more than anyone.
When Kai spoke her name, she looked at him and rushed over towards him, kneeling down beside him, cuffing his face within her hands and locking her gaze with his. "Kai..." She spoke softly while examining over him. "Is it really you?" The energy in the room grew intensively it had seemed like as Dalia was sitting at the table, looking at the duo with a soft smile and tear filled eyes. Ashleigh stood up, sobbing softly as she even helped Kai up to his feet. Ashleigh reached her hand into his and felt a slight shock and knew that it really was Kai and that she wasn't dreaming. Maybe that was even the big pull she felt earlier.
"You know, puberty really did you well." She snickered a little with a wink while releasing his hand and waltzing over to the kitchen table, where everyone else was sitting even Dalia, looking at every single one of them. "Look at all of you, darlings. So great to see you all together again." Dalia remarked just as Ashleigh sat down and patted the spot next to her, with a soft smile, for Kai to sit. The aura in the room grew more and more intense as they all sat around the table now.
Ashleigh wondered why they were all gathered there but she didn't want to be the one to ask and seem rude - Especially with Kai there. She just picked up a piece of bacon took a small bite out of it then looked at everyone else. "I say, we introduce each other, yeah?" Ashleigh finally spoke up as she reached her hand towards the adult in the room. "You should go first." She said as Dalia chuckled nervously and nodded. "Okay. Uhm, I'm Dalia Morrison and I am your foster parent. Well, new foster parent. I am widowed, too. If that matters. And yourself, sweetheart?" Dalia responded back to Ashleigh as she introduced herself. "I'm Ashleigh McGowan and this is my fifth or sixth foster home." Dalia nodded her head while looking at Ashleigh then looked at Kai. "Well, I am happy to have you. Next." Dalia softly said while waiting for everyone to introduce themselves.
