Cas quietly ate the ice cream as Amy spoke, nodding as the other woman explained everything.

"For some reason whenever something bad it about to happen Arturo is always there. He saved Samantha from her abusive husband and put her daughter in safe housing until the court case came through and he is going to jail soon so she will be leaving. Mellisa was on the streets selling her body, and Rachel and Carrie just didn't feel safe after their house burnt down. He helps us for a reason..because of what happened I mean. Well you saw Tristan's room. I don't feel right telling you about Arturo's history. I mean we all know it but he told us a few months after we got the whole vampire thing."

Cas nodded again. "Right, the Vampire Thing. That might take some time to get my head around. For the last twenty years, they've just been a story."

"We can leave when we want to but it's as long as we feel we are ready to leave" Amy added. "Why did Arturo bring you? Or don't you know yet?"

Cas shrugged. "I honestly don't know. I left home and there's only two people who know where I went to." Cas's phone buzzed on the bedside table. Odd, she wasn't expecting a call. She slid from the bed and checked the caller ID. Unknown number. Claire must have got a new phone. God knew she lost enough of them. She held up two fingers to Amy, indicating a moment. She answered the phone.

"Hello?"

"Cassie?" A familiar voice came through the line. Dean.

Cas felt her face drop. She felt cold and couldn't quite catch her breath. "How did you get this number?"

"That doesn't matter. Why did you leave? We were great together Cassie."

"Don't call me that!" She could feel her eyes welling with tears. No, she wouldn't give him the satisfaction. She took a deep breath. "You do not get to call me that. Not anymore. You delete this number now Dean and never talk to me again. I want nothing to do with you." Cas hung up and slammed her phone down. Her hands were shaking. She went to the adjoining bathroom and grabbed the beaker from the sink. She filled it with water and gulped the water down. She splashed water over her face and held the edge of the sink, taking deep breaths. She could feel herself calming down. "Sorry about that," she called through to Amy as she dried her face.
