Ashley - [ If I don't see you in class I will kill you. ]
At first Scavenger was confused, and gave herself a few moments to process the meaning behind the text, before her eyes widened and she practically sprang out of bed and rushed into the bathroom, where she promptly began running a shower.
I can't believe I forgot... Today was her first day of college, and she was to be attending it with Ashley, who was perhaps looking forward to this even less than she had been. It wouldn't do to abandon Ashley on their first day, not only because it would be a generally shitty thing for her to do, but because she feared her own father's wrath more than anything. He needed her to keep control of things in the college, which was even more important now, considering that Alex was more concerned with trying to win his wife's affections back. He had been dropping a lot of his Remei duties to appease the Fae Queen, which irked Scavenger beyond description.
The red-haired teen released a sigh, and after exiting her shower, continued to get ready, grabbing her phone in the process to text Ashley back.
Scavenger - [ Yeah, yeah, I know. I'm on my way. ]
She left her apartment as soon as she was able, but even then, it was a gamble as to whether she would make it to college before the start of her first class. She had to travel to school by foot, unfortunately, since mortal methods of transport were completely lost on her, and she set off at a steady jog, clutching her bag in one hand with her mobile in the other. If lucky, she wouldn't need to sprint the journey.
Scavenger made it to the college rather quickly, despite the fact that her apartment wasn't as close to the campus as she might've preferred; there was no helping it, her father was as stubborn as anything. After entering the building, she moved quickly through the halls, and was not surprised to find Ashley on her way to their first class of the day. Scavenger picked up her pace for only a moment, aiming to catch up with the girl, a half-hearted smirk slipping its way across her lips. "See? I told you I wouldn't make you do this on your own," she reminded Ashley, absentmindedly pulling the handle of her bag back over her shoulder after it had slipped. "Made it in record time, too." Scavenger decided it probably wouldn't be best to mention that she had slept through her alarms, and almost hadn't come in at all. Pissing Ashley off was something she often hoped to avoid.
As she gave a quick look around the corridor, she chewed her lip for a moment. "Remind me what this class is called again?" she asked, her voice barely louder than a murmur. She had been raised in a completely different system of education; most mortal subjects were lost on her, and since she didn't get to select her own classes, she had no real idea what she was in for. She relied mostly on Ashley's understanding of the realm to help her, because otherwise she would be completely lost.
