"No. You two are injured, I'm not. I can still go. You two return to the house, and touch base with everyone there. I'll follow the trail, and find where they're holding Eve, and Charlie. We don't know where they're taking them, and by the time we get everyone gathered up the trail could go cold. Now, if I hurry that won't happen. I can track with the best of them. I'll find them, and call you guys in. You send in the scouts before you call in the cavalry." Russell stated.
Phoebe hesitated. Not because she didn't trust him, he had cleared himself of almost all mistrust during the earlier attack, she hesitated because she didn't want him getting hurt on her watch...but she didn't have time to argue with him and it wasn't a terrible plan. Phoebe was about to say as much when he ran his hand through his hair, and let out a loud sigh.
"Look, I know you and I will never be friends, but trust me in the fact that I don't want to lose anyone else I care about. I will lay my life on the line if it means rescuing Eve, and Charlie. You can trust that. I get that you don't believe I have the pack's best interests at heart. I understand your misgivings about me, and in fact I encourage it. But look at yourself, look at him. But I'm ok, I can still go. You two regroup with the pack, and I'll call you when I find them. I won't make a move without back up, I'm not stupid. It is our best play right now." Russell said as she stared intently in Phoebe's eyes and pointed towards Aziel.
Phoebe felt her wolf rear and snap in fury. Even if she decided to, despite her injury, she was sure she could drag his ass into the van... He was challenging her, and she would just have to put him in his place later because she didn't have time to deal with it at the moment.
"Go. Report anything you see or hear. Do not engage, and I mean that as an order. Do not engage. I don't have time to save your ass as well." Phoebe stated as she got into the car and hit the gas.
"Hang on Aziel, its going to be a bumpy ride" She said as she flew down the road. It took her very little time to reach the house. she skidded to a halt and jumped out of the car. She ordered one of the closest wolves to her to help Aziel out of the car if he needed it and headed into the house to find Jason. She spotted him and felt her heart-rate sky rocket.
"We where attacked....humans, maybe rogues... Eve and Charlie where taken. Russell followed..." Phoebe said as she approached him.
"I failed you, I offer my life as retribution" Phoebe stated as she dropped to her knees and bared her neck to him in the customary fashion of submission for wolves.
