Charlie

"Alright. Tell me everything that you can remember from those men," Eve said after Charlie stopped talking. With a nod, the older girl went through and described what she had noticed as a weakness. Most were physical. The taller broad man with black hair had sciatic pain. The skinnier blonde appeared to have ADD. The average tattooed guy and shorter stockier blonde definitely trusted each other but were wearier of the others. Her observations took roughly a half an hour, possibly more Charlie wasn't sure though. She had just finished talking quietly to Eve when a soft click came from behind her.

Seconds later the door slowly opened causing Eve to jump up and stand in front of Charlie. Normally she would have felt annoyed at the action, but she didn't have time to care. Rather Charlie slowly stood and watched. The leader of the trio walked straight up to Eve until they were basically toe to toe. Instinctively, she moved but Eve's hand was out preventing her from going anywhere. The silence was only shattered when the leader finally spoke. "I'm gonna break you like the little doll that you are, you mangy mutt," he sneered out, a small tinge of laughter on his face. Before Eve could reacted two things happened simultaneously. First one of the men's hand shot out and pulled Charlie away and second Eve was shot with a stun gun.

Charlie jerked forward a little, but her captor's grip prevented her from going to help her pack mate. Eve! The older girl watched helplessly as Eve locked up before collapsing to the ground. The man that held Charlie shoved her towards the other end of the room before going to help drag Eve out. Losing her balance, Charlie tripped and fell watching helplessly as Eve was dragged away. Eve... I am as useless as I thought. I could not even help her. No, pull yourself together. With a scowl, Charlie got up and started looking around for any way to get out or something that could be useful later. She didn't find much. As she was inspecting the door for any weaknesses she heard footsteps. Backing away, she stood still in the corner farthest from the door.

"Hello." A man wearing the armor the rest of the kidnappers wore excluding the jacket. The shirt he wore was a plain white, one that showed off his tattoo sleeves. "Nice try hiding, but we know you're here." He smiled pleasantly, but Charlie noted that there was no friendliness in it. He wore a mask and gave off an air of casualty but she could tell it was a lie. "Miles." Instinctively she tried to backup more but had nowhere to go. The man easily grabbed her upper arm in a bruising grip and pulled her out the door behind the faux casual man and the other kidnapper that flanked him. Taking in her guard, she let her nail scratch at the newly scabbed cut on her palm letting it start to bleed again. Squeezing her hand into a fist, she felt her blood drip to the floor leaving bloody bread crumbs behind. She debated trying to escape but quickly scratched the idea. There was no way she would have made it out.

The trio didn't go far before the casual man flung a door open. In the empty room was a single chair and rope. The man smiled as he swept a hand towards the chair. "We can do this the easy way or the hard way." Charlie watched him for a moment before easily walking with her captor to the chair where she sat herself. "Are you going to fight Miles?" Charlie's silence didn't faze the casual man. He merely nodded at Miles who tied the roped tightly around her wrists and ankles.

"You are a wolf!" The man laughed gleeful at Charlie's surprised yet pained face. "I was beginning to wonder." He started walking leisurely around the young woman while his underlings stood off to the side. "We've been doing research on your little pack. The alpha's daughter was quite troublesome since she doesn't leave the house often, but you. You were easy. You walked the town like any other human. I thought we had the wrong girl because honestly you don't really act like a wolf. You have very little tells. You don't react to odd sounds like most wolves, you don't slightly lift your head to scent the air, hell humans barely react to your presence. Imagine my surprise when we burst into that... bar," He spat the word as if it personally disgusted him. "And there you were. This should be interesting." He patted Charlie's cheek causing her insides to curdle. She wanted to snap at him but instead stayed still only letting her eyes track him.

He stopped in front of her and shifted from one foot to the other. His head teetered side to sdie as he thought about something. "You don't seem to talk much." No, especially not to the likes of you. "I find that offensive, but also curious. Let's see what it takes to get you to talk." Then suddenly Charlie's head whipped to the side from his fist connecting to her cheek. She didn't move, too stunned to do anything. "Not even a yelp!" He continued to beat her trying to see what would cause her to break her silence. With each punch and eventually slice of a blade, he became more enthused and gleeful.

After some time, he stopped to wipe his hands on a towel. "I think you're my new favorite." He spoke the words as if it was an honor, a compliment. Charlie looked up at him with annoyance in her eyes. "Oh you, flirting with me with those beautiful amber eyes. Round two shall we?" Next thing she knew freezing water was thrown on her causing her to instantly shake. As he went back to beating her, physically hurting her was far more fun than using an instrument, she repeated to herself a quote that hadn't left her since she had read Dune. I must not fear. Fear is a mind-killer, Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to wash over me and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain. The mantra had gotten her through many rough experiences in her life, especially her panic attacks. For the most part repeating the words continually damped the pain. But even those words could not prepare her for what he did next.

Growing bored of her silence, he stopped and turned on his heels. As Charlie breathed through the pain and relished in the break, the man walked over to one of his men. "I must give you credit, you are a tough one. Beautiful and tough, a rare combination. If you weren't a wolf I'd consider asking you to join our ranks, but alas you're a monster. Now I must confess something." Charlie didn't look up which disappointed the demented man. He shrugged it off and started towards her once again with Miles following after him. "I've always wanted to do something, but never found the right wolf to do it too. None have ever lasted as long as you and usually started bawling or passed out five minutes in. Rather pathetic really." He knelt down and started to loosen the ropes. Unconsciously Charlie tried to her hand pull away, but the man stopped her with a task. "No, no. I'm not freeing you." With the ropes still around her wrists, he turned her forearm so her hand was palm up. "They say wolves have mates, more specifically females do." Charlie's insides froze not liking where his monologue was going. "Can't survive the shift without one or something. Doesn't matter. What does is the fact that your mate is bound to you. Would do anything for you. Sickeningly cliche of soulmates, but that's neither here nor there. What I'm curious about is what would happen if he saw that you belonged to someone else." Charlie's eyes finally shot up. Her whole body froze as she watched the man twirl a long piece of metal in his hand. One end glowing an angry white red. Suddenly the faux easiness faded into a demented gleeful grin. "Sing for me, she-wolf." Then he pressed the partially heated brand onto her forearm.

Unlike the previous torture techniques, Charlie had never experienced this particular pain before. She'd been punched, slapped, cut, and had water thrown on her. Usually accidentally, but nonetheless she knew the pain. Branding was a whole different story. As the metal seared, melted, charred, and bubbled her skin, she tried not to satisfy the man. The pain was too much however.. too intense.. too different for her rational mind to push away. Throwing her head back, she let out a blood curdling scream that echoed through the building and into the surrounding area. She eventually stopped only to start sob. The man took hold of her bruised and cut up chin and with a grin said, "You belong to us now, she-wolf."
