Nico's alarm clock blared at 7:00 Am, causing him to practically pop out of bed. Unlike most people, he happened to be a morning person. And for the most part never really drank coffee. It just tasted funny to him. Too bitter. But he'd drink it if he was really tired for some reason. Coffee just wasn't his thing. He hopped in the shower, getting all nice and clean. Clean clothes. Hygiene routine down and done with.
He thumped his way down the steps. "Good morning, mother, father!" The student chimed, making his parents laugh. His father sipped his coffee as his mother set breakfast down on the table. "Excited for school, Nico?" The man, Henry, asked. Nico smiled, "Not exactly. But it's sure to be fun." Stuffing his face with food, Annabelle (Nico's mother) laughed. "Eat too fast and you're going to choke." She warned, sitting down herself so that she could eat.
"I'm going to be late from work today. So you two can eat without me. Just set a plate for me in the fridge." Henry informed the family. Annabelle nodded, smiling at Nico. "Is there anything in specific that you want?" "Not that I can think of. I'll tell you if I think of anything." Nico said, smiling happily as he looked at the clock, "Oh. I gotta go!" He piled the rest of the meal in his mouth, wiped his face (it wasn't easy eating quickly and staying clean), kissed his mother's cheek, shouted a quick "Love you guys!" and ran out the door.
Before running right back in the door to grab his backpack that he'd forgotten and then right back out again. 8:09 Am. Thankfully he lived close enough to make it on time.
8:23 Am
Nico arrived at school via bike since it was easier than figuring out the bus schedule. Granted he was probably going to have to figure it out when winter came. Because biking and winter weren't exactly friends. But regardless of winter coming up or not, he needed to hurry otherwise he'd be late for class.
By the time that he grabbed his books and rushed to his classroom, the warning bell having rung right when he got to his locker. And it was only a minute after he entered the classroom that the actual 8:30, you better be in class, bell rang. Nico smiled happily at his teacher (Ha! He wasn't late!) before sitting down in his seat next to the window. He wasn't the best student around. But he at least tried not to make his teachers upset by being late. Granted... He wasn't a horrid student either.
