Lelinus inclined his head, idly grabbing a piece of bacon and biting into it as he listened to her words. She had a point. He had to admit it. Circumstance had changed immensely in the short time since his father had died. He had lives other than his own to keep in mind, particularly his wife and her family. He held not illusions about his brother's intentions towards them. He knew how he felt about Fjellborgans. There was a darkness in his heart, one their father had tried to quell, but to no avail.
"You are right. I am used to being untouchable when it comes to my brother's petty schemes. With him as king now, even my blood ties to him might not be able to keep me safe and others have less protection," he noted. He looked pensive at her last sentence, pondering them in his heart.
