Evaneglina finally had a night off. The royal family was convening alone for dinner with a few of the staff to serve them. Thankfully, Evangelina wasn't one of them. She was just as happy o have a night to herself, and perhaps she can get her head right. Her self-evaluation about what she saw with the King and that woman was disturbing. She shouldn't get such a rush from having the attention of a monster, but it didn't stop it from being true. She sat in her chambers, which was considered small for such a big palace but it was larger than anything she knew what to do with. The little cottage she had before this when she met King Atros was smaller than this.

She sat at a desk, make her bracelets, she hadn't had the time nor the energy to make them lately nd she found she missed the pace of it. It was a slow, tedious process, but she appreciated it. It gave her time to think. She threaded the beads one by one, her thoughts lingering on the King. It was wrong, but she figured she might as well get it out of her mind now, while she had the time. The last thing she needed was to be confused while in front of him. She needed a clear head. When she thought about the last encounter, and how he simply asked her for a kiss. If she were honest with herself, she was tempted. What a shock that would have been to him. He enjoyed her fire, but she enjoyed showing it to him. She was glad for any chance to defy him. Evangelina sighed. Here she was supposed to be bringing out the good in him but instead he was corrupting her. Her thoughts anyway. She set down her beads and rested her head on her chin. What was happening to her?
She looked down at her work and noticed the shape of the beads. She chuckled ruefully.

A scorpion...

It was then she heard a few of the servants in the chambers and noticed how much of a ruckus they were making. She peeked out of her chamber doors and looked out. "Excuse me?" She asked a small man as he made his way passed. He smiled warmly. "What's happening?" She asked and he shrugged. "The dinner was cut short, we don't know?" he said and then walked off. She had more questions than she had when she started but with that she just made her way toward the King's chambers, since surely he would need her to do something. that quiet voice in her head told her that this was another oppurtunity for their little game. She really needed to do something about that small voice....
