Theo shared a glance with Atticus. "Maybe that was the mermaid. What I don't understand is how she could've gotten hurt. It's not like there's anything dangerous in the water here that's purposely there." He yawned and shook his head, leaning up against Atticus for a moment. "Let's find her so I can go back to bed. If she's injured, I'll be comatose for days."
He went to take a step, only to almost trip. Atticus just shook his head and scooped up the necromancer, who fell asleep not ten seconds later. "Want to join? Mermaid fishing can be...interesting, at the very least." Atticus asked her, adjusting his hold on Theo with a sigh.
