Elwin blushed, "Shh don't say stuff that makes me blush. I actually need to step out for bit and I need you to watch over the house while I am gone. Roshia always digs when she knows I am hiding stuff from her. So I need you to like... make sure she doesn't start digging. I know... after today she is a bit scary. Just like... guard the place. Okay? Thank you!" His placed the cup on his table and went over, kissing Atlas on the cheek before heading out the door.
He ran hoping he could catch up with Marcus. Elwin was getting to the lake when he saw the carriage at the Tavern. He hurried over, getting to the door, and catching his breath. When he was ready he walked in and saw him with a glass of whisky in his hand. Marcus looked up and smirked, "I knew you would come for me." He had was sitting at the bar. Elwin sat next to him. "I only came because I deserve answers." Elwin said. He was angry and the feeling in his heart needed to be put to rest.
"Answers to what?" He asked innocently.
"You know what! You come back after two years. Why did you have to come back when I am at my happiest and finally decide to confess to me?" Elwin needed to know.
Marcus downed the rest of his whisky and placed the glass on the bar before turning to Elwin, "I wasn't planning on coming back after I left you. I made a vow never to step foot back in the village, but of course my father just had to put his nose where it shouldn't be. Said I had to make a visit since it had been so long. I was going to leave you alone, because you deserved to be safe and I was just torturing us both. It was the most selfless thing I have ever done." His golden eyes glanced away from his and Marcus ran his hand over his mouth. "I had a plan all figured out when I learned I was coming over. I was going to place the orders and leave. Simple, but then I saw you with that map dude and something snapped." He placed a hand on Elwin's knee, "You are all I ever think about, you are all I ever wanted, you have to know that."
Elwin shoved his hand off, "You made your choice two years ago. You have no right to confess to me now of all times."
Marcus' golden eyes grew dark, "If you want me to leave you so badly tell me to go and never come back. Tell me to never see you again and I will do so, but they have to come from YOUR beautiful mouth, no one elses." Elwin blushed. He got silent and Marcus waited for him to say it, but he couldn't, no matter how much he wanted to. His heart just wouldn't let him.
Elwin stood up, "I have to g-." Marcus pulled him down to him and kissed his lips. Everything got silent to him. He wanted to pull away, but like a magnet he drew closer before Atlas' face popped into his mind. Elwin shoved Marcus away, tear in his eyes as he held his hand over his mouth.
Marcus smirked, "You still love me. I still have a chance. Let the war begin." He said over his empty glass. Elwin backed up before turning around and ran out. He ran till he was at the secret beach and screamed. He was tired of it all. For once he just wanted to be happy without some obstacle coming up. He stayed there for a while before drying his eyes and heading back home.
Roshia smiled. She stood straight and stretched. Cossie slowly looked around at Rowan and glared, like how dare he bring another dragon into his house. Roshia laughed then, "Don't be such a grump, Cossie. And you," she turned to Rowan, "should try bonding with him as I go to Elwin and check up on him." She kissed him before walking out and to her brother's house. She opened the door to see Atlas alone. "Where is Elwin?"
