Riley’s plan sounded fine. Conrad would’ve guessed it would be lower or underground, but he trusted Riley’s gut. "Sounds good! Hopefully, we find it soon." Placing his other sword in his left hand, Conrad laid his hand on Riley’s shoulder, preparing to taking them inside. He spied a window on what looked like the eighteenth floor. Imagining the two of them on the other side of the window, Conrad readied himself to take them there.

"Up we go!" Within a blink of an eye, Conrad found himself and his partner out of the snowy forest and into a long hallway with several closed doors along the right wall. No guards appeared to be present now, but that could change at any moment. "I’ll take the first door and you get the second?"

Putting his ear to the door, Conrad couldn’t hear any movement or talking in the room. The door was unlocked and led into what seemed to be a planning room. The walls were covered with field strategies and the cabinets were filled with files on different heroes and Hydra recruits. The massive, dining table showed blueprints of different Hydra weapons and vehicles. One of the papers on the table was a roster of the routes the guards would be taking. Twenty guards appeared to be on this floor and as the floor number went down, the number of guards went up. Valuable information for later. He’d have to show Riley. He couldn’t find anything about an envelope or anything to lead towards it. Maybe Riley had better luck? Conrad did quick work of teleporting into the other room.

“I haven’t found anything. You?”

Once his suit dawned the invisibility feature, T’Chioke scanned the building to decide his approach. He was so focused on the Hydra building that he would’ve missed the watchtower if Phoebe hadn’t have mentioned. He smiled to himself, I made a good choice. Her plan to take out the one guard in the tower to get information was smart. When Phoebe turned around to seek his approval on the plan, she must’ve not realized he was invisible.

“Good plan. I knew I made the right choice.”

T’Chioke could’ve planned something better, but it was a team assignment. If he did all the work, like he normally does, then Mycroft would’ve failed them both. Her idea did have merit and he will give credit where it is due. T’Chioke began to move towards the building, only his footprints giving away his true position. ‘I have to keep an eye on that.’ Watching his footing, he approached the building seeing a small amount of soldiers patrolling the grounds. Many smells hit T’Chioke’s nose as he got closer. Most of them were coming from inside the building so most of the guards must be inside. Despite being invisible, T’Chioke put himself behind a pillar was away from the eyes of guards. He began to listen in on a pair of guards who were speaking in what sounded like English, but with a heavy German accent, a language T’Chioke doesn’t speak.

I can’t believe we are stuck outside. Thankfully, the aufzug nearby and we can get out of this saukalt.

A possible entrance? The two guards were currently on their own. The next group was far enough away they wouldn’t see him. Taking a breath, T’Chioke let out a low whistle from behind the building pillar, knowing the guards would take the bait and not call for reinforcements. He was correct when the two guards made their over to the pillar. Before the guards had a chance to speak, T’Chioke, still invisible, punch one the guard’s in the face, knocking him straight to unconscious. The next guard he tackled to the ground, placing his left forearm on his neck applying enough pressure to make it difficult for him to breathe. His right hand, covered his mouth so he wouldn’t make any noise. The frantic look in the guard’s eyes at not knowing what’s attacking him brought a small smile to the prince’s lips.

“I will ask this once: what is the aufzug and where is it? If you lie to me, I’ll know and then I’ll rip your throat out.”

The guard’s eyes remained frightened. T’Chioke knew he heard him. The scent of fear and urine filled the air. T’Chioke pressed harder on the guard’s windpipe.

“An elevator! It’s about 20 feet from here. You need a key card to get it to work. It goes to any floor in the building. It has cameras and is watched by other guards.”

“Thank you and good night.” Like his partner, T’Chioke punched him in the face. The guard slumped down, eyes closing. They smelled alive so they would be fine in a few hours, not that they were real. Quickly, T’Chioke searched both guards, finding two key cards and two .44 Magnum revolvers, fully loaded. Following the guard’s instructions and taking their things, T’Chioke found the elevator. Before using the keycards, T’Chioke used his strength to try opening the elevator. As silently as possible, he pried the doors open, seeing the dark shaft of the elevator. Phoebe and him could take the elevator, but risk sounding the alarm. They could try to figure out how to switch it off somehow, but that would signal the guards. Or they could go down the elevator shaft, but could get turned around if someone decided to use the elevator. He’ll run both plans by Phoebe, see what she thinks. Returning to the unconscious guards, T’Chioke covered them both with snow so the bodies wouldn’t alert any other guards.
T'Chioke began to make his way to the watchtower. His footprints were covered as soon as they were made until he made his way into the woods. Before getting in the tower, he turned off his invisibility, not wanting to alarm his partner. T’Chioke climbed into the tower, seeing the guard Phoebe took out. He nodded his head in approval before moving to a table Phoebe was hunched over. Blueprints and detailed papers about the guards and their weapons covered the large table. The prince couldn’t help, but snort. This was almost too easy.

“I found an elevator we can use to go to any floor in the building. It has a camera installed inside so we’d have to disable it somehow. It would tip off the guards who are monitoring it, though. Or we could the elevator shaft until we get to a floor closest to the envelope, but we would have to prepare for another group of guards trying to use the elevator. I think we should ride the shaft. It holds the least risk of sounding the alarm. It might take longer though.”

"Ms. J’onzz?"

The British sounding A.I. didn’t register for several minutes. Looking out the window of her penthouse and viewing the city, the otherworldly female was so lost in thought the alarm didn’t register. She had nightmare early about her father. The way the fire overtook as he screamed in pain and all Ja’zmyn could do was watch. How it was all her fault. How she brutalized the man who betrayed her. The memory kept her awake for days and occupied.

“What is it, Jarvis?”

Your presence is required on sub-level 23. Your mentors request that you be present and dress for battle. I’m afraid I’ve been calling out for thirty minutes. You are very late, miss.

"I will be down soon. They can deal with me how they see fit."

Ja’zmyn stayed in her pajamas as she decided to phase down to the sublevel. She didn’t bother changing clothing since she would change into her alien form for the mission. With a close of her eyes, Ja’zmyn let herself drop down to the sublevel. With her ability to phase through solid matter and fly, she wasn’t concerned about the possibility of hurting herself. The sublevel was empty as she expected. Looking at the three mentors, Ja’zmyn began to speak to the fellow telepath, through her mind.

What is the mission?

You are to infiltrate a simulated Hydra base which is reinforced with hundreds of soldiers. You need to get to their mainframe in the basement... Within there, there is a single manila envelope. You are to retrieve this envelope and return it to us. The envelope must not be damaged in any way. You can fold it to put in a pack or pocket, but no burns, tears, water damage, etc. You also may not open the envelope. The contents are highly secretive and delicate. You may accomplish this task however you see fit. If that be through stealth or brute force. There are no hostages or innocents. If you are seen by anyone you must eliminate the threat. And if the alarms go off, you cannot leave until every threat has been terminated. In a mission of high sensitivity you can not leave any loose ends because it could compromise you, your loved ones and the academy. Since you are the last to arrive, you will have to complete this mission yourself."

With a nod of her head, Ja’zmyn entered the simulation. Piece of cake.

~

The mission wasn’t difficult with her set of skills. The freezing cold climate did affect her enough to be uncomfortable, but not to stop her. Changing into her alien form , Ja’zmyn quickly turned invisible, allowing herself to enter the base without being seen. The building itself was huge! She wouldn’t expect anything less from a Hydra. Flying just enough for her feet not to touch the ground, Ja’zmyn moved closer to the entrance of the base. What looked like fifty guards patrolled the outer area of Hydra’s grounds, but none noticed the invisible alien. Ja’zmyn would’ve chuckled to herself if it would be heard by the guards. Humans were such easy things to trick. They think themselves to be superior, but would faint at the sight of her or her powers. Such fragile creatures.

Finding the mainframe was not difficult. Ja’zmyn phased down since she remembered Mycroft ‘say’ the mainframe was in the basement. Her phasing abilities made passing through the floors to go down easy. The envelope was guarded by a three-foot thick door made of bulletproof glass and four guards, two on either side. With a small sigh, the still invisible Ja’zmyn phased through the glass with no effort. The guards didn’t notice her, but they would see an envelope suddenly disappear. She would be out before they would notice it was missing and they had no proof anyone had been there. As quick as she got in, Ja’zmyn was back in the forest and then into the sublevel of Descendants Academy.

Passing the envelope to Mycroft, she sat down, nodding to Caitria who she guessed got done first. Nodding to her, Ja’zmyn sat down, looking at Mycroft expantantly as if to say what’s my grade.
