With a staff she had knocked him to the ground, holding him there while she moved to kick his skull in. He had turned, met her eyes, and driven a spear through her gut. It was the most intimate moment of his life.

Right in the heart, and everything went on fire. Then, Keneke Tua'ala was numb. His didn't feel his chest hit the ground, or his teeth break on contact with a rock.
The sky was gold, the land every shade from red to brown. Wasn't the afternoon a beautiful time to die, to finally obtain honorable passage to RakhvΔlΔ?
