"Can you believe that it's only been a month sense you two have arrived here? I'm quite surprised you both are still standing, although I know Robin was having some difficulty staying up. I'm sure you are home sick, and tired of the constant experimenting and working out. Just know that the worst is all over-" Dom's temper flared, her fists crushing the wooden arm rests of her chair as she growled, "Bullshit! It'll only get worse from here, and you know it. Sure, the start of your torcher is over, but it'll never end, don't lie to us and pretend like we're stupid!" Lucius looked taken aback by the outburst, but not surprised. His hand fidgeted with something under his desk, looking at Dom like she was a bull about to charge. "Now, now, let's not get upset, Dominique," He soothed. That only made matters worse. Dominique bolted from her chair, knocking it over in the process as she slammed her fists on the solid wood desk in front of her. "Don't tell me to calm down, bastard! You've ripped our lives apart like we're nothing! You fucking maniac!"
Dominique grabbed onto Lucius' desk, throwing it to the side with a frustrated yell. Lucius tensed in fear, pushing his chair back as he suddenly pressed the thing he was fidgeting with under the desk. At first Dominique didn't register the small 'click', but like magic Dominique froze, her sides suddenly tensing, and all the air escaping her lungs as she fell to the floor, cowering as the memory of the pain spread through her body. Dominique lay huddled in a ball, feeling Robins hands on her as tears welled in her eyes. "So the conditioning did work," Lucius said in awe. Dominique glared at Lucius' feet, tears blurring her vision as she spat, "You bastard..." Lucius didn't say anything, just walked around Robin and Dominique, opening the doors and beckoning the guards in.
Dom was forced to stand by the guards, but Robin fought them off, yelling at them. Putting his arm around Dominique, the two inmates walked out of the room, Dominique huddled close to her larger partner, tears still involuntarily streaking down her face. When they were escorted back to their room, Dominique didn't pull away from Robin, hanging tightly onto him. "Can you just... Lay with me till I fall asleep?" Dominique asked pitifully. She felt Robin nod, leading them to the bottom bunk, allowing Dom to crawl into the bed first before laying down next to her, Dominique resuming her position at his side, hugging Robin. It took a while, but eventually Dominique fell into a fitful sleep, her dreams full of murder and pain.
When Dominique was woken up, it wasn't by Robin, but instead by Henry. "Hey... You've been sleeping for a while, you missed dinner last night, and it's almost 8 o'clock now. Luxuria wants you in the lab." Dominique frowned, scooting off of the bed. She looked around to see Robin sitting at the desk, looking very unapprovingly at Henry, glancing to Dom with a soft look. Henry allowed her to clean up a bit, her face still crusty from her tears, and her hair a wild mess. Dominique squeezed Robin's shoulder as she left, mumbling her thanks for the night before. Henry didn't say anything for a while as they walked down the hall. "I'm sorry about the other day... I didn't know Luxuria was going to make me do that..."
Dominique's usual temper sparked alive, stopping and starring at Henry. "You knew she was going to torcher me?! You're sorry that you were involved, not because I got hurt! You're just as bad as everyone else, you son of a bitch! I'm glad they switched our guards, because I didn't have to deal with seeing your pitiful face!" Dominique stormed off, walking herself to Luxuria's lab, shoving the doors open. The doctor looked up, raising an eyebrow at the pissed off girl, but didn't ask any questions. "I heard you had a rough night... Today's going to be simple, we're just improving your abilities. Shirt off, please, and switch to those running shoes." Luxuria gestured towards some socks and shoes on a tray, prepping what looked like a bunch of stickers with wires on them. Dominique removed her shirt, and switched her shoes as she was told. "Why the new kicks?" Dom asked, looking to Luxuria. "Like I said, we're going to adapt your abilities. We already know it's possible. You saw Robin get hit multiple times with a trank, so therefore you adapted yourself to have faster reflexes. I figured that with some coaxing, we can increase your speed." It was then that Dominique noticed the treadmill in the corner of the room. "Over here, please, so I can hook you up." Luxuria steered Dom towards the running machine, sticking on the wires to different areas of Dom's torso, then gesturing her to get onto the treadmill. Dominique started off at a walk, but Luxuria slowly increased the speed until Dom was flat out running. It didn't take long for sweat to start to shine on Dominique's back, and by the time Luxuria allowed her patient to stop running, Dom felt like her legs had fallen off an hour ago. She lay down on the cool tile floor, panting as Luxuria grinned down at her. "You did well. I know I shouldn't be, seeing as you're as stubborn as a mule, but I'm surprised you lasted that long." Luxuria gave Dom a flirty wink, giggling at her own innuendo. Dominique didn't share her enthusiasm, too tired to even turn her head to look at the doctor. "That's all for today, I'll get a guard to escort you back to your room. I'll see you tomorrow to resume this," Luxuria said as she pealed off the sweat covered stickers. Dominique hardly made it back to the room, and when she did she went straight to the floor again, groaning at Robin's questions when she got back.
