Anthony flipped through a newspaper while he waited at a table for the server. 'Course, he couldn't read it. Lot's of squiggles and... Runes, maybe? Hermione might be able to read it, but he wasn't going to have a kid read his newspaper for him. That's a fine way to lose face in public. So instead he pretended to be reading something big and important. Judging by the pictures it could have been a murder or some demon orgy. Hard to tell.

He sighed and glanced up to see if anyone had noticed him sit down yet. no such luck, since he was the only table open all the way at the back. Grumbling to himself, he pulled out his phone and thumbed through it, looking to see if he'd heard from any new clients. A couple of odd jobs, missing people or items that'd probably turn up in a couple days anyways, and some texts from Hermione. The usual. It was tough work as a freelance private investigator without magic.

And without magic he was. Not a drop in his blood, thank whatever power had kept him from dying of mana poisoning or some magical accident. (he wasn't picky at this point.)
