EvaLazaro fought against the net, pushing intangible hands against intangible resistance. There was a sudden bright light, so brilliant her eyes burned. She turned from it, cringing. There was a shape, a figure. 'Mother,' her voice fell flat, empty. She moved closer to the shape. No. Not Mother. Alrion. She smiled, reaching out for him. His hand reached out for her and she moved closer. His hand clenched around her neck, and she looked curiously at him, his face contorting into that of Thaddeus. "No escape for you," the voice echoed. She screamed, the voice inside screamed, the pain suddenly indescribably intense. She had no way to communicate the pain, but in her head, she reached up and grasped her neck, her screams pulling her jaw from her head.
