Jay stood there in utter shock for a moment the sting of the comment still setting in. He really really fucked up with Gabe and clearly he hadn't forgotten. Still, Jay was pissed at the entire situation, at everything, Gabe included. "Nice to see you again too! Just as fucking cheery as I remembered." He shot back curtly, loud enough for Gabe to hear behind the door. He grabbed his phone off the couch rather aggressively, and was ready to unpack, he wasn't going to deal with this right now.
As he stalked off to his side of the room he heard the door open again as Gabe came back out. Jay gave him a rather icy look as Gabe laid down the ground rules. "Look, you and I both don't like each other. But we both need this grade, or we wouldn't be here. So, we need to get along. Not saying we should be friends or shit, but we simply need to get along. I don't care who you sleep with, just do not bring them here. Don't bring your friends over, and I'm not going to bring mine over. Just try to withhold your disdain for a fag like me at bay and I'll keep mine at bay." This really pissed him off, he hated being bossed around and especially in this situation.
Jay raised an eyebrow and clenched his teeth "Oh, sounds great Shurley. Might as well draw a fucking line down the middle of the apartment and label our sides. Via that classy introduction of yours I'm sure we're gonna get along just fine. I'll make sure to stay out of your damn way". With that he turned and stormed off into his room promptly closing and locking the door.
He instantly fell down onto the bed and clenched a fist punching into the soft sheets. "Damnit" he muttered angrily and took out his phone sending a text to another one of his friends. He had to throw his attention into something else, he didn't think he was capable of surviving another minute with Gabe. The worst part, he doesn't know. That the 'star football player' was gay himself. That his father gave him a black eye and a bloody lip for wanting to stay friends with Gabriel. That's what really killed Jay deep down, that in Gabriel's eyes he had every right in the world to hate him.
He didn't want to think anymore about it. He had repressed those thoughts and feelings for years, he could do it some more. Distraction. I need a distraction.
