If anything were to ever backfire for the new D.U.S.K. he'd be sure to have accurate records of it all. Part of Taku believed the Commissioner would understand, but the other part didn't care. He could walk through the door and go back to SILO, as she had mentioned, this was a demotion of sorts but the offered pay and benefits were still on par with his current SILO lifestyle. He smirked as every run of the mill joke about this being a demotion as the others began to file out of the room. It didn't bother him to not be in charge, the Commissioner knew how little he cared for working with others, and leading them? Forget it. This was a demotion in title alone. Working for DUSK would grant him the authority he needed to truly clean up the city and expose those clinging to the shadows just outside the reach of street cameras.

He left as silently as he'd entered, tucking the holopad under his arm as he made his way back home, ordering barbeque to be delivered as he arrived, Amen's suggestion seeming to have reminded him to eat something at a reasonable hour.
