As soon as Jetta sat down she released a quiet breath of relief. She was completely okay with returning back to the safety of the booth. Bars without dancing really did a number on Jetta. On dance floors she was at least able to block things out and focus on herself. But places like this where everyone’s constantly watching and being watched, often with little distraction, drain her energy.

Almost as soon as she got a moment to relax and enjoy her drink, she was being lured away from the table again. She figured leaving would have been for the best considering the heat building up between her roommate and the new beau, but Jetta halfway dreaded that she would be cast out as bait again, this time to hook Zoey up. It wasn’t that she didn’t mind helping out with this sort of thing at any other time, but tonight she was definitely starting to feel out of sorts – fantasizing about her art and the piece that she stepped away from earlier in the day.

The blonde actually had half a mind to head home and go to bed. And she would have if it weren’t for the fact that between Riley and Hudson, Zoey might have inherited Jetta’s coveted third wheel crown. She also really didn’t want to be the one to kill the night by leaving early. She wasn’t sure how Riley and Zoey handled these things, but Jetta follows a girl code that binds her to leave with her friends, even if they want to bow out early. And from her experience being the friend whose fun was killed prematurely, that definitely sucked.

“Yeah,” she barked with some hesitation, although she tried to sound excited. She hoisted herself up from the booth and waked goodbye to Riley. The height of her tipsiness had passed and she was starting to power down and sober up.

“You have your eye on someone?” she inquired as they walked away. Jetta’s plan was now to get Zoey her man as soon as possible so that she could head straight to bed.
