βThe fact that you donβt know me makes it all the more intriguing. Not saying Iβm a popular person, but I canβt throw a rock without it hitting someone whoβs heard something terrible about me." Interesting, he knew she was more than just a pretty face but by the way her last sentence was phrased, Cas couldn't help but think perhaps she harboured that same kind of danger Cas seemed to bring with him wherever he went.
"So, I tell you what, Mr. Tall, dark andβ¦" Cas bites his bottom lip ever so gently, both amused and a little hot under the collar as she exhales an mmm sound, her eyes gliding down his body and back up again, "Figure out who I am, you can have the honors of my first dance." Cas knew at that moment that even if he had to use his abilities to find out who this woman was, he'd do it. He'd probably have done a wide array of questionable things to find out who she was, actually. The man was captivated.
"And then?..." The entire time she had been talking Cas was silent, almost speechless by the words that came from her extremely distracting mouth, "Well... who knows?" Half tempted to ditch the gala and pull her away to his brand new penthouse right then and there, Cas opens his mouth to speak but is, instead, caught off guard by her next comment.
"And no mind tricks, purple boy. Cheating is no fun." With that she walks off, so abruptly that Cas finds he cannot take his eyes off her as she saunters away.
It took all of Cas' self restraint not to immediately follow after the redhead. Not one person in his entire thirty years on this earth had ever walked away from him like that. If he didn't have his sights set entirely on the woman before, now he did. Cas knew he would get that promised dance. He just had to find out her name.
Of course, she was familiar to him, but exactly whose child she was alluded Cas. Why could he not figure it out? It seemed she'd realised who Cas was from the mind games comment, however that did not seem to put her off at all. Which was interesting to Cas, since most people who knew of his father attempted to steer clear.
Downing the rest of his drink, Cas turns to face the barman, setting the empty glass down. "One more, please," He orders, before leaning over the bar ever so slightly, lowering his voice a little, "Oh, and I don't suppose you could tell me the name of the beautiful lady who just walked over there?" Gesturing ever so subtly to where she now stood, alongside a blonde woman and a man Cas had figured was U.N. since he didn't exactly look like any descendant Cas recognised. That being said, he clearly didn't know as many as he thought.
The barman chuckles a little, grabbing the bourbon. "You mean Wade Wilson's daughter?" He responds, and suddenly everything clicks. Of course. In an attempt to make himself feel a little less stupid, Cas thinks that it wasn't exactly an easy guess - she'd been lucky enough not to be gifted with her father's looks. With this new knowledge, as soon as the barman hands him a fresh drink, Cas makes a beeline for the woman he now realised was Wren Wilson. Not really caring about interrupting her current conversation.
Coming up from behind, Cas is confident in his approach to the table, grazing his fingers against Wren's arm so she's aware of his presence. "I apologise for the interruption," He begins, sending the blonde one of his ever so charming smiles and almost entirely ignoring the man. "However, Ms. Wilson promised me a dance, so I'm afraid I'll have to steal her away." Cas is sure to emphasise her name, making it be known to her that he's aware of who she is.
Catching Wren's eye, Cas extends a hand for her to take, just as the orchestra strikes up a new song. Perfect timing.
