Barynn blinked in surprise at his comment, quirking a curious eyebrow. "I've been considering the possibility, but I didn't think so right up until you said that," she replied, folding her arms over her chest and smiling slightly. "Now I'm not so sure." Subtly, she was definitely circumventing the question of telling him what she was thinking by holding on to the remark about reading minds. She was surprised as he picked her up and set her down on the counter, her cheeks going red and her arms unfolding. He had a hand on either side of her, and she tentatively lowered her hands to place them on top of his. She gazed up towards him, more and more curious with each passing second.
