"But I'm a whole lot older than you," Camilla replied. There was a pause, the sound of the electric monitor and the muted passing traffic taking over the room for a second. "Life's mostly fire, you know. It's all sorts of bad shit, mostly. It's a lot of pain. A lot of getting hurt." Camilla furrowed her brow. "And I got burned real young... too young... but I got helped out. I was a kid... and they made me a woman." Camilla shrugged. "Now I try to do the same... there are a lot of kids out there who ain't ready to be burned."
Camilla sighed heavily. "I know what Dikshil is trying to do. The fires burning, and she won't care if we get scorched." Camilla rose an eyebrow. "You gotta decide what you wanna do... but listen, I don't let kids get hurt." The woman rose. "I ain't chasing glory. I'm chasing stability. If you stay on... I've got your back."
