Deeper within the forest, a lone, moderately bloodied dark figure roams rather shakily, stopping to prop himself against the trunk of a massive tree, black feathers molting off from him. The figure, Editus Rayn, deceptively appearing as a young man, still groggy from his years long slumber, and, wounded by a knife in the back of his shoulder, quietly cursing as he reaches back to remove it, and let it clatter against the roots and disappear into the thick moss. It would appear that his liberators were not so pleased to have their wishes denied so abruptly, and ordered to "be gone." Used to, mortals would simply cower away in fear at a mere gesture. Times have certainly changed.

With his wounds already healing, he sighed to himself bitterly.

"And it was such a wonderous dream," he mutters, putting a hand on his shoulder and rotating it. It was clear to him that in his time spent sealed away had atrophied his power some, and it was annoying. Lowering his hand he looks down into it with his burning eyes, focusing himself and his arcane magic, managing after a bit of effort to spark forth a phantasmic blue flame. "Well... it's a start."

Pushing back from the tree, and wiping his hands against the moss, the Elder Demon trudged onwards. An odd feeling occurred to him while looking around at the surroundings. With a a raised brow, he noted that it all felt... emptier than he remembered. "What has transpired in my absence?" he murmurs, a smirk cracking across his face. "I like it... sort of... wonder if any of the others have been released as we-"

He abruptly stops, an odd sensation of being watched came over him. Glancing back, he saw nothing, however, and after a moment, he grunts and continued on.
