Thawulunnor smiled at her, and was about to say it didn't matter and that she had no reason to be this nervous when he heard her next words.

His body stiffened and first thought was: 'Had she known who I was after all?'.

(No, actually, his first thought had been 'kill', but he suppressed that urge. Hence the stiffening.)

Thawulunnor might have been saner than he used to be, but he still hadn't come anywhere near to being the paragon of virtue Calion had been once upon a time. His time as Thawulunnor had ingrained instincts in him, he'd rather have left behind with his insanity. But alas, that was not to be.

(He knew it was unhealthy to think of himself and his past as belonging to two distinct people -namely his existence Before and After Alistair was through with him- but it was a way of coping.)

His third thought was a wry, "Well... Reason acquired..."

"Oh?", he prompted her, the 'Why Alistair of all Gods?' being heavily implied but going unsaid.

Madison continued talking though, most likely not having heard him.

He sighed at her last question, although he remained tense.

"No. Not really."

Well, there were a few of course, but those had been so ingrained into Elven Society that Thawulunnor assumed they would be around in Human Society too. He likewise assumed that they were simply too basic for Madison to mention.
