Thorn stood paralyzed, not thinking this far ahead in his prank. The speed in which he was approached had taken any chance of reaction or fleeing out of the equation. He looked up at the looming figure, the shadow he cast across thorn allowing the slight illumination of his purple eyes to become apparent. He looked to the left, no one to blame. He looked to the right, no one there either....
The feathered mans sour expression said that an answer was needed, and demanded. Thorn looked around, his tail tucking in between his legs. He gave a small smile, eyes dialating as he made a few stuttering sounds, trying to point around him to a nearby bird or branch, finding nothing that could take the blame for him.
"Well um... I am... Heh.." He stammered a bit more as he began to lean down. "I am the master of the forest, and I uh... Speak for the trees! Yes... that sounds about right." Thorn wasn't quite sure whether he said the last part aloud or not. "Yes! For... they have no tongues..." He continued, scooping up a pawful of dirt.
"And that is plain to...." He threw the dirt up in Editus's face. "SEE!" he said with a cackle, immediately trying to escape down the path as he was hopefully incapacitated.
