"Not safe? Whatever do you mean?" As Akshasha walked through Wing City she soon realized she'd have to be taking care to go slowly enough that her inebriated companion could keep up. It wasn't long, however, before the smell hit her and she realized that they were fast approaching her destination. "Ahh, the smell of the dregs of society in the night sky, music to my senses." The Dark Elf found herself with a newfound spring in her step.
The walls of nondescript buildings rose up on either side, creating an ominous looking alleyway, the smell growing worse and worse the further they went into it. "Pardon the offensive odor, the Nosferatu I'm looking for always manage to find the WORST places to eke out a living." A few rats scurried by, seemingly in fear of something, running right underfoot and out of the alleyway. "Aha! Surely they're running from the Nosferatu, which means he's close."
By now, the Blush of Life was beginning to wear off again, and the Vampire couldn't afford to keep expending Vitae to keep it up, so she simply let it decay, the fire of the Beast within her beginning to paint her eyes and eerie yellow color, as her fangs slowly became once more visible. She raised one hand slightly, using Vitae to summon all the rats within a thousand yard radius. They obeyed her command without thinking, unable to resist the call of the Beast. "Oh Mr. Tung! I have a horde of tasty rats for you. If only you'll answer me a few questions.
As if on cue, a manhole cover a bit ahead of the two exploded off the ground, aimed perfectly at the Drow's head. She caught it with a bored expression, and said to Gabrielle over her shoulder "Don't mind him, his bark is worse than his bite." A humanoid crawled out of the sewer, it's face deformed almost beyond belief. He had pustules on his bald misshaped head, and a long tapering elf-like ear that was pierced in multiple places. His other ear was simply missing, as if torn off, and it's fingers ended in long claw-like nails.
The creature stayed on all fours, and crept forward slowly, licking it's lips as it eyed the rats. "Yeah, yeah." Bertram's voice was grating and raspy, like he had just finished gargling nails. "Fuck, d'ya want?"
Akshasha dropped the manhole cover, crushing a rat or two as it fell, though the rest dared not react and simply stayed frozen in place. "The LeBeau family, daughters, tell me everything."
Bertram finally stood up, staring directly at Gabrielle with his ugly, sunken in eyes. "I need 'er say so first," he croaked out.
