Rei's ship was significantly larger than Marlene's, but that didn't prevent it from being maneuverable. She hadn't expected the other ship to follow her, but at the same time it seemed almost normal. "Fine, play that way." She muttered as she glanced at the engine output for the second time. "How're those respools coming Specter?!" Rei asked as plotted her next move.

'Respool in an estimated t-minus five minutes.' The A.I. said grumpily, this was not it's idea of a fun time. Specter wondered why they were doing this when they could have been docked at some backwater station, mining it's registries for information. The larger stations were much more difficult to mine, but at the same time that much more lucrative. 'Dark drive output at at an estimated 75% and climbing... we will reach the risk threshold at 95%.' It added, translating real time information being given to it from the dumber computers that assisted in powering the engines.

"Well I'll just have to keep them busy till then." Rei commented as she urged the ship to dive down below the ecliptic plane of the current system. "In the mean time, ready point defenses and target anything they throw at us and their ship. We're done playing." She added as Specter chimed in acknowledgement.

Hacking into the other ship would be out of the question, unless they had the time to work backwards along the connection they had opened by answering the other's call. Speed, hull durability, and weapons were all they had left until they could open a slipspace window.

'T-minus 4 minutes until respool, engine output at 78% and holding.'
