|| Need you Now || Lady Antebellum ||
School was boring. But there was certainly something interesting to deal with. Up on the rooftop, it smelled crisp and clean, as if someone sprayed the sky with air freshener. It was a pretty view as well, if you called a giant ugly wall blocking half of the city a pretty view. Well, of course, Seraphina was always nice to look at. She was quite hot, if Erika had any say in the matter. Which she did, obviously, as Sera's girlfriend. Sera was outgoing, she was popular, she was full of friends. Erika mostly only had Sera and more recently, Clover. It wasn't that she was shy, and it wasn't that she antagonized people... she just had more important things to worry about than trying to make friends.
One of those concerns being Seraphina's marks and bruises. "They say honesty makes a good relationship." She threw a juice pack Sera's way. She caught it as she always did and offered a weak smile. "Well, I honestly think you look better with a single twin tail. Fashionable asymmetry." Erika wasn't going to fall for it. Okay, sure, she did admit that the new style wasn't awful on her. But Seraphina was most definitely trying to deflect right now. "You were weird yesterday, Sera. Tell me what's wrong." It was an order, one Sera had to obey. Well, except for the fact that no, Sera didn't really have to obey. And she didn't. "A girl's got to have secrets." The elusive redhead said with a slightly more convincing smile etched on the mask that was her face. "Makes us more charming, y'know what I'm saying?"
This was going nowhere, quickly. No matter what she tried, there was nothing that came of it. Their relationship felt almost like it was in a rut and it was bothersome. So Erika did what she did best when she needed to clear her head. She became the Blue Lotus. Atop the Wall of Glory they were, looking at some sort of procession going on down on the streets. "Let's see what's going on, Tiger Lily." The Blue Lotus took her sidekick's hand and they hopped around until they finally were in the shadows close enough to hear what was going on.
"The True Heroine will save us!" They chanted, their voices in Unison. This was the Revolution. "We have hope and we will standfast because we won't let poverty break us! The True Heroine will save the day and bring light into the night that is our lives!" Who even was this True Heroine, anyways? Sounded like the same kind of name as the Watchman was, or Blue Lotus. There was definitely a person behind that name. "The True Heroine will guide us! We can't allow the Noble Houses walk over us! The True Heroine will break the wall, the True Heroine will fight for our sakes!" It was being televised of course, by News Anchor Elsbeth and her cameraman Horace as they scrambled to get the best footage of this strange scene. "The Harrington House has almost anything we could ask for." Erika whispered to her servant, knowing no one else could hear them. "But many nights pass when these people can't even afford food. That angers them, so they want to fight." The True Heroine. Erika would have to engrave that name in her memory.
She was definitely going to be someone to have to fight later on.
