Emma would shake the woman's hand before her olivine eyes laid on her son. "Sorry for the lack of introductions, my name is Emma, and this is my son Mar...Patton," she corrected herself middle of the sentence before she would walk off with the adults leaving the two teenage boys with each other's company. Looking at Spencer, who he mentally decided would need a nickname if they became more than just friendly neighbors, he'd notice he was sort of dressed up. Somewhat making Patton feel underdressed. He'd stare at the boy, having to look up towards him due to the height difference between them and he'd shake his head before he'd answer the question. "Um, I'm going into my junior year too.......does this place have a theater class?," he'd bluntly ask not looking very impressed. He ached for L.A he missed the big city he called home.
Spencer, however, was somewhat cute. He looked like the type b dudebro, not as buff or as big as the type a, but still just as masculine. Which was somewhat Patton found....attractive. He began to fiddle with his hoodie string, not really sure what to do, aside from wait for an answer. His mother walked over to hand him one of the sodas they had offered, before returning to talk to the other adults. Sending a silent thank you, he'd open it and nurse from it.
If he was going to make friends, Spencer didn't seem like the worst choice. It'd help to have someone used to the area, so he didn't get lost.
