Marshall had to try hard not to laugh at the overly excited bat. He couldn't help but remind him of a cartoon he had watched when he was much, much younger. Ferngully. With a shake of his head, he collected the trash from the food and tucked it back into his bag, until he could find a proper trash receptacle.

"They're called glasses. They won't help much at night, unless they actually light the street lamps, these days, but they're something we've had for... Oh gods, centuries. Be careful with the lenses, though. They're made of glass, and they don't work well if they break."

After he heard the question, he couldn't hold back the snort, anymore. "Take care of you? That wall has been nothing but a menace since the day they built it!" He shook his head. "Besides. Maybe here I can actually do some good. I would never have thought a pair of glasses would be considered 'magic,' after all. You guys have it even worse than I thought."
