Pepper Collins - bonfire - outfit Pepper sat in her car in the parking lot near the beach, where she could already see the bonfire and the small crowd around it. She was genuinely excited for the bonfire, as she always was, but she had been having an off day and wasn't particularly excited to be spending time around other people. She already felt like shit, and being social was not something that helped her feel better. She had had a conversation with her mother earlier that day. Of course, mom was asking about her weight and when she had last eaten. The questions made sense, but they felt forced. Her mom had always been a bit wary about talking about Pepper's disorder. It was like she was afraid that talking about it made the whole thing worse.
Following a drawn-out sigh, Pepper hopped out of her car and headed toward the fire. She spotted Brooklyn, but she was surrounded by people that didn't like Pepper very much. She didn't really know who to talk to, and stood there feeling awkward for a moment.
Noticing Sean sitting alone on a log, she thought what the hell... and headed over to say hi. Sean was a newer friend of hers, and she had been testing the friendship, seeing how close they were. She walked up tentatively behind him and said "Hi Sean. Do you mind if I sit next to you? I'm a bit lonely here.." she smiled quickly.
