With the dirty water poured overboard and sight of the boats coming back to the crew, Tessa was preparing herself for a word. She knew perfectly well that Meg - The Captain - would not be happy seeing her down from hanging already. That and she really hoped that Meg wouldn't need to punish Vera now too. Maybe I can convince her that I had talked Vera into letting me down? No no, somethin' tells me Vera wouldn't like that. Maybe we should just be honest..? Tessa tried working out how the confrontation will go in her head. She felt that either way, whether she honest or not, it's going to be trouble.
With Meg and all coming back aboard, she was surprised when she saw Meg turn the other way. Was she not going to confront them? Part of Tessa felt guilty about that. But that left her when she saw Vale come aboard. Tessa's eyes narrowed as she watched her. Something wasn't right. And not a full moment later, Vale dropped. Without a second thought, Tessa made her way across the deck hurriedly. She got there just in time to see Meg give her a good smack across the face. If it had been at any other time, if it had been anyone else, and if it hadn't been a clearly unconscious Vale, Tessa would have slapped back, maybe even go as far to beat said abuser unconscious with the words of "No one's allowed to touch her." But this was different.
With wide eyes and everyone gathering around like they were, Tessa just watched unsure of what to do, hoping Sunni would bring some ease. But hearing her yell for someone to help her take down to med bay however, Tessa got even more scared. Then Bill stepped up to carry Vale without a word and, though Tessa was grateful, she let out a soft mutter of "Please don't drop her," then she followed closely behind them as they made their way down. She hoped - no, she prayed that Sunni would be able to do something, anything to help Vale. But she couldn't help but think the worse. What'll happen if I lose her? She thought. No, no, I can't. I won't. This kept going back and forth in her mind as she walked, or ran, behind Bill with Vale in his arms. "You need to be okay," She said quietly looking at Vale just as they made it to med bay.
