Jana was hurrying to catch up with Everett when he stumbled and pulled up short. She ran right into him, and almost fell down before catching herself on the wall. The prince shot her a disgusted look and groaned and pulled away without even an apology. What an asshole, she thought to herself, trying to remind herself why she was trying to save this ungrateful brat's life.
As Nellie began to describe the throughway to the train station, Jana cut in. "'Circle around', you say? Well, you've got the right girl for the job." She was tempted to add But you probably don't see me as sapient enough to be classified with a gender, but she decided to not press her luck. "Describe the general location to me, and I can probably-" She cut off as she saw a patrol of five guards coming their way.
Not even bothering to speak, Jana grabbed hold of Nellie's and Everett's shoulders and steered them into an off-street alleyway. Holding a finger to her muzzle, she waited for the guards to pass before speaking in a more hushed voice. "If you can describe the general location of the station to me, such as what street it's on or what buildings it is near, I can probably find us a route through the underground. Do you think you can do that for me, Nellie?"
