With an unnerving symphony of pops and creaks, Bella's right arm quickly twisted and mutated from its once human image into something more monstrous. Flesh pumped into it, swelling, nails were absorbed and replaced with claws, skin becoming gray and mottled, hand enlarging. She held up that twisted arm, and with her powerful tail she dug it into the earth behind her, becoming rigid to keep her on her feet, and then, with a feat of strength, slammed the back of her her monstrous hand into the stone, trying to throw it aside in an effort to sustain herself as a barrier.
