“Hey, Ai? Are you listening?" Amaryllis brought Aila out of her thoughts, and she blinked slowly at the woman. She offered an apologetic smile, and nodded her head. “Daydreaming is going to get you into trouble one of these days, Aila," she continued, but Aila knew she meant it in jest. “As I was saying, do you think you could make the arrangement for me?" she stated, causing Aila to tilt her head. Adrien had remained mostly quiet during their conversation, occasionally taking a bite of his food, and kept his focus on Amaryllis as she spoke. It was now on Aila, though, as he seemed to be waiting for her to respond.
“Of course, Amaryllis," she finally responded. “I can make the arrangement," she continued, watching the smile on Amaryllis' face, bloom. “I've completed Miss Chen's arrangement, and then I have Mr. Aldric's arrangement. After I complete his, I can start with yours." Amaryllis pursed her lips together as she sighed dramatically.
“You need to stop hanging around Adrien; he's rubbing off on you," she stated, earning a light chuckle from him. Aila huffed slightly in an amused manner. “I don't think I could handle two of him," she added, but the smile on her face meant that she was only joking.
“I'm afraid old habits are hard to break, Miss Bellamy. Where I am from, it is proper to address one such as yourself in the manner of which I speak. If it bothers you greatly, I will endeavor to rectify my ways," Adrien spoke, causing Amaryllis to groan slightly.
“You sound like one of those cheesy knights from the movies," she muttered.
“Hm, I agree, but it's part of his charm," Aila defended, earning a light chuckle from her friend. The waitress came by the table, placing a tray on their table with couple of cups. From the smell of it, the contents of the cups were tea. “Oh, I think those are theirs, Doris," she stated to the waitress. Doris immediately turned red, and uttered an apology before taking the tray to the correct table. For a brief moment, Aila made eye contact with Vic, offered him a small smile, and returned her attention to her friends before it was taken again.
She had over heard the blond-haired man, Arthur, speak of Celly as his fiancée. Aila's attention was back on the woman and man, and immediately, she began thinking of an arrangement to make for them. As a congratulatory bouquet and as something to welcome them to Sanctuary. It was a small enough town for her to recognize the three of them as the newcomers, and she had already planned on sending them a welcome gift, beforehand. The recent information was just the push she needed, however; she wasn't sure if they would prefer certain flowers, or if they were even allergic to them.
Sometimes a good intention wasn't always the best, so she pushed the thought to the back of her mind, for now.
