It was now Friday. Tomorrow night would be Hallow's Eve and everyone would be there. Orie was given special permission to attend due to her being a special case demon and not a naturally born demon. As an honorary witch, she was going to get to be at the festival as well. Regardless of that, today was a special day for the second years. Those who signed up for the field trip were put into a hat and ten of them were randomly chosen to get to attend the Field Trip. "Through here." Sir Flammel said, leading them to a corner of Constantina. "This will take us to a very special Pocket Dimension." Yue looked over at the others - the only other name she knew was Errol, who had also been randomly chosen.
"I know!" Errol raised his hand, looking eager. "It's the R-" Flammel grinned and tapped his head. "Shh, let's let it be a surprise. Alright, one at a time now, kids." One at a time the children stepped through the veil, finding themselves at a strange river that floated in the night space sky. The river itself didn't even look like water, it was almost green, and seemed much softer and lighter than water was. "Welcome to the Oolong River Dimension." Flammel said with a dramatic wave of his arm. Errol's eyes were like stars and Yue wondered how many times Wing went through here. "Unlike Constantina or Empyrea, Oolong River is a transit dimension. Transit pockets exist to connect to many other dimensions. For example, riding down the river three stops will take us to where the Sahara Pocket Dimension used to be."
It was kind of overwhelming to look at. The Oolong River was almost like a roller coaster rail that floated in the middle of a starry void. There were points at various parts in the labyrinthine loop that looked almost like stations, each one with leaves you ride almost like a boat. "Do you think there's the cure for Ulrich and Claris out there somewhere in one of these hundreds of pockets?" Yue asked Flammel quietly, wondering if it was safe to hope. The others couldn't overhear of course, they were busy ooohing and aaahing at the sights. "That's what we're hoping for." Sir Flammel said, looking grim. "Once I find one that might lead us to Ogygia, I'll invite you and Zinnia and some others to travel with us through the river."
The first stop down, which Sir Flammel took them to, was, coincidentally, the Preloma Pocket Dimension. It was an abandoned Japanese-style sea of pink flowers and pink water, and it was odd being back here again. "You can look around, but be careful of what you may touch." Here Orie met Urlot, didn't she? Yue felt lonely being here again, while the others who came here with her were back at home in Constantina. She was mostly sad and bored during the excursion, but at least the others had fun. "Cheer up. Wing wouldn't want you to be sad." Flammel told her gently, touching her on the shoulder. "I can't really control that though." Yue said defensively, crossing her arms.
