Somehow Aya found herself enrolled in Camellia Academy, a school for Blossom girls who wanted to receive a good education and live a decent life. There were lots of strange things being taught and Aya was forced against her will to sign up for a series of classes. "I think you could major in Etiquette." Farrel said with a mocking smile. "Want me to input it?" Xion seemed entertained by the idea of Aya majoring in gardening, considering how no plants could grow in the ruined Rubble Tier. In the end they decided to keep her in the general stream, since they wanted her to have a somewhat normal experience without too much worry.
After a fitful sleep and the knowledge that once she returned home Father was going to definitely be very angry, Aya groggily went to school. It was weird being made to sit down and learn things instead of follow orders on a screen and create things with her hands in a factory setting. The teachers kept on talking about things and Aya was made to introduce herself multiple times as a new transfer student in each class. "Hello, I'm Korhya Filia." She recited, going by the script she was given by Farrel. "You can call me Kora for short!" Did she like it? No, she did not. But if this was the only way she could somehow help Cress in the future then she would do as ordered. Dumb resistance, the squid should've known better than to get involved with dangerous folks like this.
Once school ended for the day Aya found herself very bored and upset. She only agreed to go to the Blossom Tier because she was promised Cress but in the end Cress wasn't even here! The blonde squid was lonely. "If I was an eggplant Cress could have my nutrients." Aya said quietly to herself as she found her trusty bike in the yard where students left the building in search of freedom. Would she get to escape this stuffy and dumb school uniform soon? "If I was a tomato, Cress could make me into yummy juice!" She wanted to find her new best friend to reaffirm the friendship. Being needed by Cress felt - it was a strange feeling. She had never ever been needed before. But now she wasn't even needed and Cress was doing a dangerous mission all alone.
Someone nudged her before she could rev the engine of the gravity bike. Aya looked over her shoulder at the mean person who would tap her shoulder like that. How dare they interrupt her thoughts? "Aha, I thought I recognized you. It's been a very long time!" Aya blinked, looking at... herself? It was like looking into a mirror. The same blonde hair, the same green eyes, the same devilish smile. "Aya?" The real Aya Filia, thought dead, grinned with excitement. "Yeah, it's me! And you're Kora, my twin sister! You're so pretty now!" But how was this possible? Wasn't she long dead? Seven years ago Aspen pushed her into the well and Aya was never okay ever since. How was she standing? How was she breathing?
