Sadly before Elise could continue digging into the prisoner manifests to see if her brother had a chance to be one of them, Ezra tapped her on the shoulder. "It's about time for the training session. I normally don't care about Oliver and his orders much, but this might be fun." For some reason, he was grinning cheerfully. There was excitement brewing in him. "I wanna see just what our little piano's capable of doing now." Elise rolled her eyes, closing out of her holo for now. "She already had a nickname, even if she does not like it." It was mostly Carter and Serenity who used Minnie, but Winter was not the kind of person who really needed a nickname. Her real name sufficed, Winter was perfectly respectable. If she had any say, she would not be called 'brat princess' regularly either. Was she not a little bit more grounded now compared to her old pompous self?
Together they rendezvoused back at the Ender home, in front of Oliver's room. "Are we all here?" Oliver did a mental headcount as he looked over his team one by one. Once he confirmed that everyone was present, he nodded with affirmation. "Alright, then let's go to the training room." It was a room built near the Ender's home for the Vassals to safely hone their powers. It was large, almost like a gymnasium, with various teseting implements and obstacle courses and even sparring circles to test your powers on. It was better than the small one Elise had had created for her mansion at the Hresvelg Estate. "First, we'll work on buddy system compatability." Elise frowned as she looked at Winter. Was it just her imagination, or was something wrong? Ezra pulled her away though so that they could work on combining their powers. Rock and rain did not exactly go very well with each other, and it was difficult for them to find a working combo the way she could with Winter.
"Maybe we don't need a fancy combo." Ezra had an easy smile as he worked. "We're both really strong as it is. We don't have to force it, there are other ways to have teamwork without doing a combo." He looked at her carefully, then nodded. "Yup, so let's take a break!" Did he realize that Elise was wearing herself out? Even just using her powers to this extent was tiring. How weak was her stamina that she could not even handle this? Was she really working past her limits? She panted, face uncharacteristically flushed, falling back into her wheelchair. Ezra was at the handles, as handy as ever. If she was going to be a burden, maybe it was best to contact Doctor Lid- "Don't thinkt that you're a burden, brat." Ezra told her, putting his hand on her head. "You just have some catching up to do. You're still miles ahead of Serenity after all."
After training was over, Elise looked over at Winter, knowing that something was definitely up. Carter and Oliver were having a fit against aech other in front of her and it was becoming really unsightly. "I need Winter for something." She interrupted, glaring at them both with the ruby gleam of her eyes. That was enough to make them both shut up for now. "Can you take me to our rooms, Winter?" She asked, face still flushed from how hard she worked. Once they were well enough away she looked up at her. "If you want to talk, I am here." Then she tried her hand at a smile. "The holofilms should still be in our room. Should we watch one tonight?" Something to help Winter take her mind off of things for now.
