"They say invaders. Anyway get ready, everyone intends to leave soon. The travel will be to slow for me, I'm leaving now." She gave a small curt bow "Good luck with your travel." She moved away slightly, watching the wolfman. She had not met many of his kind before and never one not of Winter, he was interesting to look at with his black fur. She smiled, giving another short dip of the head before leaving. Her feet were silent as she moved through the now empty upper corridor, the floorboards vibrating softly, with the many voices below. Tapping eagerly down the stairs, she burst into the main room. It was full to the brim with Summer folk, their skin so much darker than her own. Here and their stood white pillars of travelling Winter, she guessed they would have to postpone their trips back to the clans. It could not be helped, and many would relish the idea of going to war, far more than the small turf wars that had been going on lately. She smiled happily, her lithe grace, cutting through the crowd. Once out the door, she paused for a breath, hating being in such large crowds, she supposed going to the city, she would have to get used to the idea.

"Kay, lets get a move on! I want to get their and healed before everyone becomes to busy." He sat astride her mighty stead, who was pacing back and forth, tail whipping in agitation. Before either of them could reply, Sherri was off, setting a slow jog for her human counterpart. Orin let out a whoop, aligning himself low along her back. Her gait was less even now, causing to have to cling tighter to her fur. He loved the feel of her strength beneath him, knowing he himself was too weal to do more than stand till he was fixed. His hair was longer than his sisters by a few inches, and the pale tips brushed lightly against the nape of his neck. Their family was counting on him to get better, he would take over from their winter parents. No one seemed to think it at all odd that he and his sister would rule the kingdom so young, they were special. Twins were rare in their parts, mixed seasons even more so. He hated that he would rule alone till his sister returned, hated that she was known by his name. She was one of the best warriors to be born to their clan for many years, or so her mother told him. It was believed she was so strong and beautiful because she had been held in the same womb as him. He thought it ridiculous as he watched his sister start after him.

She opened up into long smooth strides, slinging her spear to her brother to hold. True she could run with it, but it was far easier without. They moved through the outlying countryside, letting out whoops and laughter as they ran along. Occasionally they would jump high over a hedgerow and startle the Summer cattle beyond, this gave them fits of giggles as they scattered before their mighty speed. Soon the city was within sight, its tall buildings disrupting the ever balanced swell of hills and trees. She could see the tip of the castle at the centre, that's where they were going. It was a few miles yet though. She waved a hand to Sherri, motioning for them to stop at the river. Her legs were burning lightly as they paused, and she stretched them to help the flow of blood. Pulling her leg straight over her head, she watched Orin dismount clumsily. Sherri was now almost taller than her, and was a good 10ft in body, excluding her tail. Kaylin hoped she wouldn't get to much bigger, otherwise she would never fit in any house they would share. The beast bounced over, still kitten like in her actions and bumped her head with it's own. She fell to the floor, laughing deeply as she reached into her pocket for the fish she had saved. Waving it she watched as Sherri crouched low, leaped over her head taking it and purred as she shredded it.

Orin took his offered food, sitting by his sister as she washed herself in the river. Her pale skin clashed with the vividity of the green fields around them, it was luminous as she tossed glittering jewels of water up around her. He looked at his own green skin and wondered how he had been born to her perfect family.

"Your brooding again." She told him over her shoulder, standing straight ad letting the beads of water trail down her exposed belly. She flick water at him smiling, hoping to get him into a better frame of mind for the king.

"Oi! Yeah I know, sorry." He rubbed the back of his head, embarrassed that she had noticed. He stood following her lead and was soon back on her stead. It rippled beneath his legs, pushing faster than before. He watched his sister before them, running full pelt towards the city. By the time they reached the king, she would be to tired to stand he thought, but he understood her rush. They were to the north of the summer lands, where the disturbance had been, she did not want to linger here unwisely. She was fast enough to make Sherridan brake into a faster pace, smother on him, harder on it. They were both going to build up muscle and keep fit while they were caring for him, they were his protectors. He smiled as they came to the edge of the city, this meant at least that it would be a slow pace. The smells of this busy city were horrendous, making his nose wrinkle in disgust as they entered.
